I’ve been using this app since forever .. android.. iPad .. iPhone.. google is basically my life in a way! But what happened to the iOS app?! I can’t swipe or dismiss any of the stories. I’ll refresh but hey are all the same.. I can hide them but that’s now a 2 added step! Come on now Google!

Please add back the swipe to delete news cards feature. It’s annoying to use the three dots and use the hide this article feature.

There are several sites on mobile that require hitting a button at the bottom of the page and because the Google app bar shows up when you scroll to the bottom Im forced to go into safari since the Google bar covers the button. Its annoying as hell.

Google is crashing on me every time I press the search button. Can you please fix that?

This version is just awful. The suggestion tab or whatever it is that pops up from the toolbar is ALWAYS in the way and it’s too much work to swipe down to get it out of the way. I like a clean, open look on my screen so I want to hide it altogether not have stuff popping up. And the images tab! Seriously if I wanted It to look and work that way then I’d use google on the safari app. I can’t stand it. It’s way too much work and super inconvenient now! Please change back all the updates! If I can’t swipe up or down on a picture to make It disappear then it’s not right and I don’t want It. Please don’t make us all use bing because they are also lame.

It stopped working lately, maybe since some iOS or google update. If You reads promoted news from google, you could swipe to dismiss anyone you don’t like or finished reading. Now not working anymore. While on iPad, it still works

I am a die hard fan of Google but since the update it is absolutely impossible to use. Every time I plenty the app it freezes up!!!! PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!!!

Great app I love google

With the removal of Swipe to Hide functionality on cards, it has become a pain to clear the feed and have new articles/cards show up. Also, when you hide a story, it just comes back next time you refresh. Was such a great app but new ux is not intuitive.

Bug report: Can’t dismiss cards either by swiping left or right! I loved this feature and I can’t see me using the app without it! Please return it back!

I am using iOS 11.1.2 on an iPhone X. Ver. 39 does not work properly. Voice search said it couldn’t find the microphone. Open/close and then it did. Next time it didn’t. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, but it doesn’t connect with the microphone.

Not a fan of the suggestion toolbar at the bottom and there is no way to make it go away. It’s always in the way! I also hate the fact that they took away the swipe feature for the news cards in the google newsfeed. That was def a feature that made me want to use it. They’re making it more work for us to get from point A to B and it’s frustrating.

I used to be able to swipe stories I was done with or didnt want to read. Now its gone. If it doesnt come back soon, this app will be gone too.

The app used to be great. The feeds have been a good aggregators of topics I am interested in. The ability to swipe away the feeds I have read or I am not interested in is really appeals to me as I have been used to these swiping gesture from Inbox by Google. Now Google is taking this feature away, forcing me to go through these cluttered feeds to see whether there are new ones. I dont know why Google did it, but whatever benefits its developers have had in mind with removing this feature, I dont think I can appreciate any at the moment.

Recent update got rid of the ability to easily swipe away news cards. Now you have to tap the settings icon then tap hid story. Whats the point of this change?

I turned off location services but still kills the battery

Love the app but will YALL PLEASE STOP CHANGING IT!! It was perfectly fine before the last update. I get the bugs and making it compatible with other phones, but the way it flips to the previously used pages makes me motion sick. The app is really good tho.

This app is useless now, can’t swipe away cards, now you have to click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select “hide this card” and even then when you close the app and re-open it the card comes back! Pointless used to be a great app now it’s worthless!!

Bring back the swipe when done feature you heathens

Works well once it loads. Also works better if via the voice button. VERY slow to open and VERY slow to accept typed searches. Safari is better. Firefox is better. iCab Mobile is better. With the resources behind them, the Google browser should be better.
