Google App Reviews

If I go 2,3,4 or more pages into a site, then want to go backwards one page, I used to have a back arrow on the bottom left of the page. I could go back one page at a time. Since the last update, "results" is now in the bottom left corner. This takes you back to Google search results, regardless of how far in I have gone. Very annoying!!!

Then immediately changes it to something else. I want what I search for not what you think I need to see. Its getting to be as bad as apples voice to text.

I hate the new suggestion that pop up out of no where from the bottom.

Hate how they moved the “back” button to the top of the page, and replaced it with a “back to results” option at the bottom. Makes for very awkward one handed use.

5 Stars!! Thank you Google for adding time filters! I previously wrote a review promising to give the App five stars if Google would add time filters. You guys answered my call and now I’m following up on that promise. Thank you again for hearing my concern

Always google on top and I think will be the unique websites coordinator in future

My daughter searched up porn and pictures came up I caught her and I had it restricted and she went to photos and nooo

The app is great for kids

There is a horribly obnoxious control panel at the bottom the comes and goes as you scroll up on a page it appears scroll down it leaves. Click on a new site and it takes up solid screen space giving you suggestions of similar websites in a block form showing only 1.5 at a time. It gets in the way. Its obnoxious. Get rid of it. Im normally pro Google all the way. But I use this app EVERYDAY FOR SO MUCH and I gotta say this grinds my gears. And Im not one to just review to complain most google app reviews I give nothing but praise.

Little bar at bottom of screed wont go away and blocks everything. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

The new update is bad. Its slower, and at least on my iPhone (I havent updated on my iPad yet), the swipe option to get rid of open pages is ugly and outdated looking. The previous look was much better. Plus the black background made it look sophisticated and sleek. The white makes it look old and just downright bad. Please change it back to the way it was before.

The option to go back a webpage is missing.

Continuing comment below: news feed stories, many only loading half the content. Forced to open in Chrome or Safari to see complete web page. Half a f page loaded is blank. Over last month or two, same stories in news feed for days. Mix it up. If I swipe away, please don’t publish it to the feed again. Stop posting stories behind paywalls.

Every time I search something on this app it loads for like 30 - 45 seconds and sometimes even longer. Then I use Safari and it loads google results very quick. This app was designed inefficiently and is a waste of time.

I dont get why Gboard is built into this app when its also available as a standalone app, thats just confusing. Anyway Gboard is flakey... every five seconds or so it blinks and resets itself and sometimes it dumps me back to the Apple keyboard, making it difficult to use for long. Other problem is that the feed is always showing me news articles from random websites and I cant figure out how to turn all of them off without also turning off the entire feed. In feed settings I tried accessing "Apps & Websites" but it doesnt work.

The app is painfully slow when it comes to 2-step verification for google account. It takes a whole lot of time for the notification to come through and the yes/no options take time to appear on the screen. It Would have been great user experience if the notification itself had the yes/no options and I could pick one just right there.
