A big step down from “Google Now”

I’m pretty deep in the google ecosystem and used to rely on the previous card based system, Google Now, heavily to provide me with the relevant info I needed when and where I needed it. That was the entire point of this app! Unfortunately this replacement, the Google Feed, is a glorified news reader that is not so useful.

It really is such a step down in functionality that it has given me pause to wonder who is in charge of these decisions... one step forward, five steps back.
