Google Keyboard causes battery drain

After updating to iOS 11 I (as many others) met severe battery drain. After updating to 11.1.2 I understood that the heating and the battery drain occur when using social networking and messaging apps. And now finally I understood that the problem is the Google Keyboard! When using it, the smartphone becomes hot and loses battery VERY quickly.
Please Google fix it!
I dont want to use the stock Apple keyboard!
