Can’t swipe away news article???

I opened the app yesterday and I can no longer swipe away the news story’s I don’t care about. now I have to tap on two different buttons to make a story go away which is stupid. Plz stop changing everything almost every month it’s annoying.

This blows a little about Google, v39.0
