Dont understand the point of this app

I downloaded it because I liked the features where it tells you about your commute and about the weather and the news and also acts as a web browser.

But this app doesnt communicate with the Gmail app. Google doesnt recognize its own app is a browser. Uninstalled this dumb app and reinstalled Chrome.
