Love the Google app, but...

I have always loved the Google app and use it extensively every day. It has, however, become a real problem to do voice searches on the app.

Google has taken away the ability to do voice searches on my iPad or iPhone because my Google Home Mini always answers (even when it doesnt know the answer). No matter where I am in the house with my iPad or iPhone a voice search always elicits "answering on another device". The "other device" is the Google Home Mini which is located in the kitchen, and I wont hear the answer.

This is a HUGE issue. The Google app already had "okay Google" as wakeup. Google Home devices need and should have their own UNIQUE wakeup phrase, completely separate from Google app.
