Slow, clunky

I don’t really know why I use this app. It is painfully slow to load and then tricks me into typing before it’s ready, so if I want to google “Google,” and I enter it when the app appears to be ready, all I get is “ogle.” It’s almost faster to boot a browser, such as Dolphin or Safari, load Google from the web, and then enter the search term.
Is Google loading some sort of spyware on my phone in this process?
